The Big Sand Lake Association (BSLA) encourages all Big Sand residents to become members of the lake association. BSLA is a 501c3 organization dedicated to the protection, preservation, and enhancement of Big Sand Lake for all to enjoy today and in the future. BSLA relies on membership dues to fund annual activities such as on-going water quality monitoring, Zebra mussel and starry stonewart prevention, installation and maintenance of safety buoys, newsletters, website, and two webcams providing live, year-round viewing of the lake.
To become a "BSLA Member", add the membership item below to your cart. In the cart click on "Proceed to Checkout" and follow the instructions to complete your membership.
IMPORTANT: You will be asked or a single "LOGIN EMAIL ADDRESS" which identifies your membership in the BSLA database. This login email address must be used by all family members to access private area on the website such as the "Members Only" section, "Update My Info" and when renewing your membership. The "Members Only" section contains the Big Sand Resident Directory and BSLA Board information.
NOTE: You will initially be assigned a password to be used the first time you login. Click on "Forgot My Password" and it will immediately be sent to your login email address. You may personalize this password in "Update My Membership Info" under the Membership tab.

Donate to the Charitable Fund/AIS Watercraft Inspections
The Big Sand Lake Charitable Fund (CF), managed by Northwest Minnesota Foundation (NWMF), is an endowed fund and spendable fund which is available for large expenditures when needed for the protection, preservation, and enhancement of Big Sand Lake and its environs. Currently, the primary expenditure is the annual AIS Watercraft Inspection program.

- Online – Click here, or go to www.bigsandlake.org. Click the yellow Charitable Lake Fund 'Donate Now' button on the home page or any login page. To make your donation available for watercraft inspection or other special projects, please select the General Spendable option in the "Direct Donation To" dropdown menu.
- By check --. Make checks payable to Big Sand Lake Charitable Fund. To make your donation available for watercraft inspection or other special projects, please write "General Spendable" in the memo line of your check.
